NISAU UK India-UK Achievers Honours – 75 at 75: Recognising Outstanding Contribution

The NISAU UK is working with the British Council in India to celebrate 75 U.K. Indian students and alumni who have made an important contribution to their profession and society.

To mark India’s 75th anniversary of independence, 75 Indian UK students and alumni who have made an important contribution to their field and society will be honoured in a first-of-its-kind celebration of the UK’s Indian alumni – the India UK Achievers Honours. From Mahatma Gandhi to Dr Ambedkar, Cornelia Sorabjee to Pandit Nehru; some of India’s foremost leaders have been former Indian students in the UK. It is this legacy of the India-UK educational partnership that has inspired the conception of the Achievers Honours and through this programme we wish to recognise and celebrate the achievements of our alumni, inspiring future generations.

The “75 at 75” Achievers will be honoured in a gala celebration on 10th December 2022 at the residence of the British High Commissioner to India. Achievers will also be celebrated through a significant digital campaign and invited to participate in conversations designed to facilitate conversations around key global topics throughout 2023.

Applications are now live and can be made online at www.achieversshowcase.com. Alumni and current students are both eligible to apply. The deadline for submissions is 23.59 GMT, 10th November 2022. Winners will be invited to the gala ceremony on 10th December 2022.

The NISAU is arranging a series of webinars for applicants on 21 October, 29 October and 4 November 2022 at 2pm UK time / 6.30pm India time.
