'Postcards from Home' opens in Gallery 29 at the Ashmolean from 14 May 2022 until 12 Mar 2023. Marking the 75th anniversary of India’s partition, the exhibition features postcards of 47 artists from India and Pakistan, all with a shared history of the partition of India in 1947, photographed by New Delhi-based artist Manisha Gera Baswani.

Hosted by All Souls College Oxford, the Radhakrishnan Lectures 2022 from Professor Amita Baviskar of Ashoka University focuses on 'The Elements in the Anthropocene: Urban India’s Changing Climate'. These lectures will take place both at the Old Library, All Souls College and online and all are welcome.

First published by the University of Chicago Press in 2021, a South Asia edition of Professor Nayanika Mathur's 'Crooked Cats: Beastly Encounters in the Anthropocene' will be released by HarperCollins in early 2022.

In February the Ashmolean will be opening an exhibition of works from contemporary Pakistani artist, Ali Kazim. The exhibition will be the culmination of his time as Oxford University’s first South Asian Artist-in-Residence.
